The redevelopment of the Roeterseiland campus includes a diamond polishing factory and several faculties of the University of Amsterdam. A second phase in Nieuwe Achtergracht 166 will include new educational facilities and offices.

To minimize noise and vibration transmission and reduce additional deflection during construction the steel structure was isolated using pre-compressed Stravibase SpringBox spring bearings with a resonant frequency of 3.5Hz

Precast concrete panels were decoupled from the main structure using a combined solution of Stravibase SEB, Stravibase Lateral and resilient dowels.
