Our Story
Established in 1951, CDM Stravitec’s reputation is built on a passion for solving noise and vibration problems, a professional approach, technical excellence, customer service, and, most of all, our people. Our clients rely on decades of experience and trust us to bring the right solution to every project we undertake.
At first, we manufactured exclusively plastic cork materials; however, as a result of investment in research, development and testing we soon expanded our activities to offer comprehensive engineered solutions.
In the early 1960’s we were pioneers in “building base isolation” and showcased the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (BE) as our first major multifunctional building project of this type.
In the nineties we developed a new range of elastomeric materials which enabled us to offer a much wider portfolio of products and opened up exciting new markets for us – including the rail market. Soon after, as part of our ongoing environmental commitment, we invested in the development and manufacture of recycled rubbers which were added to our product range in 2004. Today CDM Stravitec's focus is to provide the best possible engineered solutions for noise and vibration challenges in the building and industrial markets.
