Impact Noise
Impact noise is often perceived as a ‘neighbour noise’ and can be generated by footfall impact on the floor above or from other activities such as slamming doors, moving furniture, etc. To isolate the impact noise, an acoustic isolation mat can be used.
Rolling Noise
Today, multifunctional buildings combine commercial and living spaces. This combined usage can cause important disturbances - think of a supermarket below a residential apartment, where most of the deliveries happen in the mornings, period during which the building is mostly occupied. The trolleys generate low frequency vibrations that travel through the building structure and impact the acoustic comfort of the surrounding occupants. Using an acoustic isolation mat helps to decrease noise generated by shopping carts, pallet jacks, fork-lifts and other logistics equipment.
