Cinema Amsterdam

The Amsterdam Houthavens is an ideal location for a new cinema. In 2025, Cinema Amsterdam will open its doors here, in the middle of a vibrant neighbourhood that has grown into a dynamic hotspot with a diverse audience in recent years. The necessary apartment complexes are being built at the Amsterdam Houthavens, and many creative companies are located there.

The cinema will have twelve screens, equipped with electrically adjustable seats that can almost be reclined and the latest laser technology, in combination with Dolby Atmos sound. In addition, a stylish bar will be integrated, so that visitors can enjoy a complete evening out.
We installed decoupled walls and ceilings, that ensure complete acoustic isolation between adjacent rooms – no sound leaks in our out. This allows an immersive, distraction-free cinema experience.

The decoupling from the main structure has been realised in the cinema halls for high sound insulation.
The wall lining systems are acoustically decoupled through the Stravilink WallFix system and the acoustic wall brackets Stravilink QR.

In addition, acoustic ceiling hangers, type Stravilink DCH-S (steel springs), were combined with a ceiling clip for the C60/27 metal channel system to decouple lowered ceilings.

A custom ceiling clip was also supplied with a specific slope for the sloping ceilings.
In this way, the ceiling hangers could be hung vertically and the metal channel profiles could be hung here under the desired slope.
