Women’s College Hospital (WCH) is the first and only Ambulatory Care Hospital in Ontario and the only hospital in the city with a primary focus on Women’s Health. As a teaching hospital, there is a large focus on Research and Education as well.

The new state-of-the-art glass and concrete building replaces existing buildings and consolidates most hospital services in one location, enhancing the hospital’s stature as a provincial leader in women’s health care. WCH spans over 600,000 square feet on Grenville Street in Toronto, including three parking levels.

During the second phase of construction the WCH opened a brand-new conference centre, including a 154-seat auditorium, break-out rooms, business centre, kitchen, and atrium, often used to host educational events and thereby generating revenue. The striking pink cube at the heart of the Conference Centre serves as a symbol of the clinic’s dedication to advancing the health and well-being of women.

To shield the operating theatres, hospital rooms and sensitive medical equipment from the harmful vibrations coming from the mechanical rooms, Stravifloor Mount floating floors were installed. The elastomeric bearings used in this type of floating floor providing exceptional structure-borne and airborne noise isolation.
