Acoustic angle bracket for structural joints in CLT construction
Straviwood WallBracket is an angle bracket for structural joints with acoustical decoupling features thanks to an excellent behaviour of resilient pads in the bracket giving a significant reduction of flanking sound transmissions. The bracket is ideal for CLT constructions where shear and vertical load distribution between structural elements is intended.
Main Characteristics
- Ideal for wall-floor decoupling in CLT constructions
- Suited for all wood-based materials
- Precompression via foolproof system
- No additional tooling required for correct installation
- Electrogalvanized steel
- Height: 4-3/4" (120 mm)
- Application service class 1 and 2 (EN 1995-1-1:2004+A1:2008)

The total vibration reduction index, Kij, can be calculated using norm ISO 12354-1 and expresses the attenuation of the vibrational power flow through a junction, playing a key role in transmission.
However, the formulas suggested by this standard are only applicable to rigid connections where metal connectors or elastic decoupling materials are not being used. Significant differences have been noticed between the calculations based on the norm versus measured Kij values in situ.
