St Martin-in-the-Fields

A new music rehearsal room forms part of the new underground extension of the historic St Martin-in-the-Fields church, located directly over the Northern line. Trains can be clearly heard in the building and so there was a requirement to isolate the room to provide good conditions for music practice and performance.

A range of CDM Stravitec products and bespoke solutions were used to ensure that all of the internal structures were not in contact with the non-isolated surrounding structures. The room has a crisp and clear acoustic with a marvellous diffuse sound field.
