21 Moorfields is Deutsche Bank’s new headquarters in London.
Built atop a ticket hall for the Elizabeth Line, the development features pedestrianised streets, public spaces, and bio-diverse habitats, connecting Moorfields to the Barbican via an extended bridge.
The building, designed for 5.000 employees, includes large trading floors, tiered workspaces with terraces, and a separate wellness facility. Its sustainable design incorporates smart systems to optimize energy use and comfort, aligning with the City’s urban greening initiatives.
Reflecting Deutsche Bank’s values of strength and transparency, the space fosters collaboration and future-proofs operations as a SMART Building.
CDM Stravitec designed, supplied, and installed a Stravigym XP floating floor system for the free-weight area, using springs as bearings combined with the dBooster® technology.
This high-performance solution delivers excellent structural durability and acoustic isolation, effectively absorbing the energy from heavy impacts.
Engineered to reduce noise, control vibration, and limit floor deflection, Stravigym XP ensures user safety while protecting the building structure.
To achieve this, the installation had to be carefully coordinated with base build elements such as window brackets and columns, avoiding any risk of acoustical bridging and ensuring a perfect fit.
Sustainability was equally important: all timber components used in the system - including leveling shims - were FSC-certified, making the solution both high-performing and environmentally responsible.
The result is a safe, sustainable (fully modular and FSC-compliant), and acoustically optimized training space built to perform.
