BEA SC Fitness

The project is set within a residential building located near the centre of the scenic town of Olomouc.

It entails the development of a fitness facility on the lower ground floor, which features a panoramic view of the adjacent park and is partially configured across two split levels.

Given the integration of a gym within a residential context, it was essential to implement effective acoustic isolation measures to mitigate the transmission of structure-borne noise generated during fitness activities to the residential units situated above.

CDM Stravitec was involved from the early design stages of the project, providing comprehensive technical support throughout, culminating in the successful installation of high-performance floating floor systems.

The project posed stringent acoustic and vibration isolation requirements due to the diverse nature of gym activities.

Each area was engineered with a bespoke solution: the cardio zone was treated with a roll-out solution Stravifloor Mat-W25_x; the free weight zone featured a Stravifloor Deck on springs configuration combined with Stravigym GympactLayer-45 for superior impact absorption; and the strength area was fitted with a robust Stravigym HP on springs system to withstand high dynamic loads.

Thanks to this customized multi-system approach, the facility will be able to operate high-intensity activities without compromising user comfort or disturbing neighboring spaces, delivering reliable acoustic performance and long-term value.
