Building Services

Modern buildings are all equipped with building services equipment, all of which produce noise and vibration.

Examples of building services equipment:
Elevators, electrical transformers, generators, HVACs, automatic doors and control rooms, etc.

The dynamic parts of large industrial machines will inevitably generate noise and vibration and, as they are usually mechanically secured to the supporting structure, high levels of structure-borne noise and vibration are likely.
