Structural Elastomeric Bearing

Stravibase SEB are structural elastomer bearings used for Building Base Isolation.

Stravibase SEB comprise a series of elastomer pads laminated to formwork on one or both sides. These bearings are designed to meet natural frequencies between 6 Hz and 20 Hz. The elastomer pads are custom made and manufactured in a variety of dimensions to accommodate acoustic design loads up to 10 MPa. 

The CDM Stravitec portfolio covers a wide range of elastomers. The elastomers used in Stravibase SEB can vary depending on the acoustic and structural requirements in each project.

Frozen Bearing Technology (FBT) technique allows us to replace elastomer bearings such as Stravibase SEB without disturbing the building’s structure; which may become necessary if there is a significant change in the imposed load.
