Environmental Product Declaration Now Available: Stravifloor Deck & Channel Solutions
Entity view (Content)
Stravifloor Deck and Stravifloor Channel now have their own Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) according to EN 15804+A2, strengthening CDM Stravitec’s commitment to transparent environmental reporting and supporting more sustainable construction decisions.
The EPDs provide standardised, third-party verified information on each product’s environmental performance across its full lifecycle, helping specifiers and contractors compare options with confidence while reinforcing our mission to make the world a quieter place through engineered solutions for noise and vibration control.
Why EPDs Matter in Construction
Environmental Product Declarations have become an essential tool in the construction sector, providing transparent, third-party verified data about the environmental impact of building materials.
They cover key metrics such as:
- Material sourcing and embodied carbon
- Energy consumption during manufacturing
- Waste and recyclability
- Global Warming Potential (GWP)
For architects, engineers, and specifiers, EPDs allow for objective comparisons, support sustainable design decisions, and contribute to green building certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, DGNB or others. In today’s market, clients and project teams expect clear evidence of sustainability, making EPDs increasingly required in both public and private projects.
By using products with EPDs, construction projects can optimize environmental performance from the earliest stages of design.
Stravifloor Solutions and Sustainable Construction
Stravifloor Deck and Stravifloor Channel solutions are engineered to combine high acoustic performance with sustainable construction principles.
The EPDs for both systems provide designers with transparent data to select configurations that maintain performance while reducing the project's overall Global Warming Potential (GWP). This makes Stravifloor an ideal solution for projects seeking sustainable, efficient, and environmentally responsible flooring systems.
Stravifloor Deck
A low-profile floating floor with a proprietary dovetailed metal deck, allowing thin concrete toppings from 50 mm (2’’). Offers high stiffness, excellent noise isolation, and minimal impact on floor-to-ceiling height. Ideal for projects that need lightweight, high-performance concrete floors.
Stravifloor Channel
An isolated steel batten system for lightweight panelized (board based) floating floors. Optimised for acoustic performance, structural stability, and reduced material use. Perfect where concrete slabs are not feasible.
