Pumais Due is one of Italy’s foremost film and TV dubbing studios, known for delivering the highest quality Italian dubbing for cinema and television. Founded in 1980, the studio has built a reputation for efficiency, precision, and technical excellence. Today, Pumais Due continues to be a trusted partner for distributors, directors, and producers seeking world-class dubbing services.

As part of an expansion of their main facility, Pumais Due added three new dubbing rooms to accommodate growing production needs.
CDM Stravitec was chosen to deliver complete box-in-box systems for each of these rooms, which were specifically designed for extremely high levels of acoustic insulation, a necessity given their exposure to heavy traffic noise from the adjacent street.
The new dubbing rooms were built to meet the stringent acoustic performance requirements set by major international producers. In this regard, each room was inspected and officially certified by Disney’s quality assurance team, who travelled from the U.S. to conduct on-site testing and validation, confirming full compliance with Disney’s technical standards for dubbing environments.

A high-performance box-in-box studio relies on three essential layers of acoustic isolation: a floating floor, decoupled wall assemblies, and an independently suspended ceiling.

For this project, CDM Stravitec delivered all three components across the three new dubbing rooms.
To meet the demanding acoustic criteria, a Stravifloor Deck system with integrated steel springs was selected for the floor build-up. This solution is known for its adaptability, low natural frequency, and proven ability to deliver excellent sound isolation in critical listening environments.

For the wall assemblies, acoustic decoupling was achieved using the Stravilink WallBatten system, one of the most installer-friendly solution for creating isolated wall linings.

Finally, the ceilings were suspended using Stravilink ISH-S spring hangers, which offer both high load capacity and superior acoustic performance,
