Spring Isolation Joist Hanger

Stravilink PRJ* spring isolation joist hangers are designed to support suspended ceiling systems off joist structural floors, optimizing sound insulation between vertically stacked rooms.

Standard hangers spring hangers are:

  • Stravilink PRJ-80: 5-10 kg (11-22 lbs) per hanger
  • Stravilink PRJ-250: 10-35 kg (22-77 lbs) per hanger
  • Stravilink PRJ-500: 25-60 kg (55-132 lbs) per hanger

Main Benefits

 

  • Natural frequency at design load around 4Hz

  • Can be used to hang down most suspended ceiling systems

  • Steel elements are zinc plated

  • Bespoke hangers can be manufactured to meet specific loading and natural frequency requirements on request

  • System comes with perimeter isolation strip to isolate the perimeter of the ceiling from the surrounding structures

 

Design Requirements

 

  • Weight and construction of the supported ceiling (determine the type of hanger)

  • Weight of any elements supported off the suspended ceiling or directly off a hanger

  • Required void between the supporting soffit and the suspended ceiling
