The project at the Silesian Branch of the Building Research Institute (Instytut Techniki Budowlanej - Oddział Śląski) involves work at one of Poland’s leading institutions dedicated to construction research and innovation.

As a key regional division, this facility plays a vital role in supporting technical expertise, testing, and development in the building sector.

Our contribution to the project reflects a commitment to high-performance solutions in a research-driven environment.

The laboratory designed a separate reverberation chamber within the building to measure the acoustic properties of materials.

The project faced challenges, including uneven loading across the floor due to structural walls supporting the concrete top, and higher edge loads where these walls intersected the floating floor.

To address this, the system layout and material choices were adapted to handle varying reaction forces, supported by Finite Element Modeling (FEM) analysis for accurate load distribution.

After consultation with the acoustic team, the Stravifloor Deck system was selected for its flexibility, low resonant frequency, and suitability for the project's specific needs.

The Stravifloor Deck system provided an effective solution to ensure optimal acoustic performance while meeting the complex load requirements, ultimately enhancing the overall functionality of the reverberation chamber.
